ABOUT RON DENER
Ron is listed in the Who's-Who of Entertainment
I would like to introduce myself and share with you my lifetime experience in the Entertainment Industry. At 9 years of age, I performed in a National TV Commercial for a breakfast cereal and for the one line I had “Ummm, Good” I earned $9000. It was then I realized that this was the business for me and I became a child actor.
After appearing in numerous television commercials, television shows and motion pictures, I became more and more committed to this business and became an apprentice and actor to polish my craft in Winter & Summer Stock theatres throughout the country. It was here that I heard the applause which confirmed what I would be doing for the rest of my life. Summer Stock gave me a chance to study many famous actors and Academy Award Winners. This motivated me more on the path of my career. Besides doing Winter & Summer Stock I performed for children in Children’s Theatre traveling throughout the country.
I became interested in Directing and started directing stage plays and was Production Manager and Assistant Director for numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. I opened my own Off-Broadway theatres and was Artistic Director for the Alice Theatre and the East Village Avant Garde Theatre Repertory Company where I presented original productions that I produced and Directed. With my Troupe of Actors, I created Human Dolls which was a form of entertainment not seen in New York establishments. This was called Ron Dener’s Bar Theatre which featured mimes of Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy in full costume and other dolls as well. The Human Dolls and I appeared on numerous national and local television shows.
I had the privilege of working On-Broadway as a Director at the Robert F. Kennedy Theatre for Children and for a Christmas Special with celebrities that was hosted by the Mayor of New York at the Beacon Theatre. My greatest Theatre honor was to direct and produce a stage production at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. I was asked to produce and appear on camera on Television for New York’s Teleprompter Network and for Public Access Television. It was then I was seen and offered to host my own Television Show, “The Ron Dener Show” in South Florida. This show was broadcast on WKID-TV and ran for 5 years, 3 of which were live. The experience of “live” television recharged my thinking and then becoming a Television Producer & Director. I have produced 100’s of TV Productions and TV Commercials.
Currently, I present and host Show Business Seminars for corporations, private groups, and people of all ages, and lecture at colleges and universities throughout the country. I am currently an Independent Producer, Director, Writer, Publicist, and an On-Camera Acting Instructor.
